In 1915, thirty enterprising papermakers gathered, determined to form a new technical arm of the American Paper & Pulp Association (APPA). Their idea was to gather and disseminate information on matters related to production. In less than a year, the Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) was formed, and more than 100 years later, its recipe for success continues to work.
